The Eagle pet food company has recently changed hands and some may comment that the change is for the worse but we beg to disagree! Eagle pet food was acquired by the same company that owns Wellness Pet Food and Old Mother Hubbard. After purchasing Eagle Pet Food they changed the name to WellPet. We here at WestCoastPetSupply.com believe this will allow the two companies to do a better job providing quality ingredients, concentrating on research and development of new products and fulfilling orders much more efficiently than they did prior to the merge. We have been dealing with Eagle Pet Food for more than 20 years and with Wellness (or Old Mother Hubbard) for the last 15 years. To know these two pet food companies is to know the core of our industry. Both originally family owned and developed. Then sold to larger companies so that better distribution could be achieved.
The bottom line is, we have complete faith in the management of WellPet and know that the betterment of their pet food lines is at heart. Eagle Pet Food and Wellness Pet Food will be run independently and will continue to provide us with quality pet foods. We are so confident in Eagle Dog Food we feed it to our own dogs!
