UVB for Uromastyx

Hi, well I my brother is giving me his uromastyx. I've always wanted one but was unable to afford it. He used mercury vapor bulbs and honestly I can't afford that. So I was wondering if anyone here has regular fluorescent uvb on their uros (or knows a bit about them). I know their temps are supposed to be hot. I was most likely going to use Zilla Desert Series 50 bulbs (new ones), since I use those for some of my other pets. This type of uvb is the highest output uvb before mvbs and I really like them. Has anyone tried these for a uro? Are regular fluorescent uvb bulbs enough for a uro or am I going to be forced to spend money on mvbs? Any help or comments would be greatly appreciated.
