Concentrated liquid effective against ick, velvet and other external parasites. All the strength and convenience of the original Maracide, one bottle treats over 2,300 gallons of water.
Benefit: Maracide Concentrate is a specially compounded preparation that has been developed and thoroughly tested for the treatment of the most common of all fish parasite problems, Ick (Ichthyophthirius) or white spot. Maracide has been shown to be effective against Ick, Trichodina, Chilodinella and related parasites.

Use: Maracide concentrate should be used when a diagnosis of the fishes illness indicates the presence of Ick, Flukes (Gyrodactylus), Trichodina, Velvet/ Protozoan Diseases and other related freshwater parasites. Maracide Concentrate contains Tris(hydroxymethyl)aminomethane and aniline green. Maracide Concentrate will color the water but will not interfere with the biological filter. During treatment U.V. sterilization should be discontinued. There is no need to disconnect wet/dry or diatomaceous filters during treatment. Maracide concentrate may cause a discoloration of the seals of tanks sealed with silicone. Maracide concentrate is safe to use with live plants but may be harmful to amphibians and some snails. For use in freshwater only.
