You should base your hermit crab’s diet on a balance of commercial hermit crab food and supplement it with a variety of fresh foods.
Hermit Crab Food and Accessories
When feeding commercial hermit crab food and pelleted hermit crab food, you should feed only once a day. If your hermit crab is on the smaller side of the scale it’s always a good idea to crush their hermit crab food so they can eat their hermit crab food more easily. All uneaten hermit crab food should be removed everyday to ensure that it doesn’t decompose and contaminate your hermit crab’s otherwise pristine environment.
